This morning I listened to Fr. Robert Barron's homily for this Sunday. He reflects on each section of this Sunday's second reading, St. Paul's hymn of love (1 Corinthians 13). You can hear Fr. Barron's reflection at this link.
I remember hearing Tony Blair (then only weeks into his role as Prime Minister) reading this scripture at the funeral of Princess Diana in 1997.
The Prime Minister read from the King James Bible, one of the first English translations of the scriptures, published in 1611. The King James Bible is the greatest classic of English Literature. It was published in the age of Shakespeare (who died in 1616).
